At Cresco Wildlife Club, we are committed to promoting sustainable practices that protect our natural resources. We want future generations to be able to enjoy the sports and recreation that we all love. Learn how you can contribute to the preservation of our natural ecosystems.
Every year during the Mighty Howard County Fair in Cresco, Iowa our indoor range turns into an educational aquarium display. We need volunteers before, during and after fair for this large endeavor. We catch wild aquatic critters and place them in their temporary homes for the week, everything from turtles to bass to crabs and sometimes even slithering snakes. At the end of the week the critters need to be returned to their homes and clean-up begins!
Will you volunteer some time to sit in the wildlife building and greet patrons and share some knowledge?
Through generous donations and volunteer helpers we are also able to present fair-goers with a wonderful wildlife taxidermy and fur display, there's snake skins too. This selection includes but isn't limited to arctic fox, black bear, many species of fish, skunk, red fox, coyote, raccoon, there's so many to list!
Do you have any furs or cool mounts that you'd like to share with us?
And don't forget the GIANT TALL GRASS Prairie Root that we have on display!
